I played the hell out of that disc and desperately searched for a full copy but to no avail. The only time I can say I bought the game was when the first disc was given away as a freebie on the cover of the official Sega Saturn Magazine here in the UK. I am finally soon going to start to play through it all the way to the end using SSF. I've only ever played the first disc, and only two times, both for about 15-20 minutes each time. And I still have it to this day, in absolute mint condition. I then called my best friend and BEGGED him to PLEASE come and get it for me. I said thank-you and got off the phone with them. I begged the person on the phone to hold it for me through the end of the day, but they told me the best they could do was to hold it for a couple of hours. I found out that Toys R'Us, which was located less than a mile away from my job had one-BUT I COULDN'T LEAVE THE STORE BECAUSE OF COVERAGE IN MY DEPARTMENT :'-( It was the only copy they had received. I called EVERYWHERE I could think of looking desperately for a copy.

:-( I was working at Best Buy at the time. It inspired my career choice and is still, to this day, the art piece of the medium that resonated the most with me, and against which I measure every other game and fictional world. This game cemented my love for digital story telling. I had no access to anime or teen/adult animation at the time, so seeing a glimpse of that kind of story telling was revolutionary for me. The cinematically alone were incredibly enticing to me. I got the game as a Christmas present and devoured it in two or three days. I KNEW I would love the game just by seeing her dressed in those strange, signed garments (empire or Kremen, cannot remember it’s been 23 years), not to mention her enigmatic black and white look (cyborg or tight fitting suit?), and the smooth, strange wall patterns behind her. But it sold me on the artworks of Azel alone. A full length RPG with a complex, rich story. I thought it had lost the war and would disappear in a whimper Then came Saga. Final Fantasy VII arrived on PlayStation and seemed to be (for me, at the time), the nail on the coffin of my beloved Saturn. I had loved the Panzer Dragoon (1 and Zwei) game demos on the Sega demo cds… fell in love with the world and design rather than the gameplay.
